Why We Choose Our Words
At MindSet 369, the language we use reflects who we are and the values we hold. We believe words shape culture and community, so we choose terms that honor real experiences, encourage growth, and build lasting support.
Womyn
We use “womyn” intentionally to move beyond traditional spellings that reinforce exclusion and conformity. This spelling centers self-defined identity and celebrates womyn across all intersections of race, gender, class, sexuality, and ability. It’s a deliberate act of honoring the full spectrum of womyn’s experiences—bold, diverse, and whole.
Navigator
Instead of “mentor,” we say “navigator” to emphasize guidance that respects individual agency and the complexities of career journeys. Navigators walk alongside womyn, co-creating pathways that are culturally grounded, strengths-based, and rooted in community care—not top-down advice.
Guidance
We prefer “guidance” over “coaching” because it better reflects how we work: as collaborators offering practical tools and support. Our approach centers womyn’s needs and builds on strengths, without relying on assumptions or one-size-fits-all methods. We meet womyn where they are and support growth that is authentic and sustainable.
Our Commitment
This language is part of our mission to create inclusive spaces where womyn can lead unapologetically, heal fully, and build legacy on their own terms. Words hold power, and by reclaiming these terms, we challenge limiting narratives and inspire a new paradigm of leadership—one that centers equity, care, and collective strength.
Thank you for joining us on this journey of transformation—where every word matters, every story is honored, and every womyn is seen in her full power.
